US motorcycle stuntman extradited to Aust
US motorcycle stuntman Rusty Setser has arrived in Australia to face charges relating to a brazen cocaine importation ring, but his former Playboy centrefold girlfriend Brandi Brandt remains in a Los Angeles jail.
US Marshals confirmed Setser, 38, was released from downtown LA's Metropolitan Detention Center and flown under guard on a passenger plane from LA to Sydney.
He landed in Australia on Friday.
"He was escorted by Australian authorities," a US Marshal spokesman told AAP.
Setser had spent several months locked up at the LA jail after announcing at a hearing in the US District Court in July he would waive his right to fight extradition to Australia.
Brandt, 44, the former nude model and wife of Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx, has also consented to be extradited but her US lawyer, Anthony Solis, said the paperwork for her extradition could take weeks to be completed.
