Lana Wood, born as Svetlana Nikolaevna Gurdin, is an American actress and producer who is widely known both in the United States and abroad.
She was born on March 1, 1946, in Santa Monica, California. Although her parents were Russian immigrants, they grew up far from their homeland - her father lived in Vancouver, while her mother grew up in one of the Chinese provinces.
After Lana's parents met and married, they moved to Santa Monica, where Lana was born. Around the same time, the family changed their surname to "Gurdin".
